Position: IT Business Data Analyst

Location: SF/Walnut Creek

Summary:

Heitmeyer Consulting is hiring multiple Data Analysts to support one of our clients on a large data privacy initiative. Selected candidates will be working on a team supporting senior analysts on this highly visible project. We are looking for data analysts that are strong communicators, enjoy problem solving, and have a strong appreciation for customer experience. Extensive Microsoft Excel and SQL skills are required and experience / understanding of data privacy is preferred.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years working as a Data Analyst or related role
  • Extensive experience with MS Excel and SQL
  • Experience with data mapping, data inventory, and understanding of data modeling
  • Understanding of data life cycle and aware of data classification, tagging and catalog
  • Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to work collaboratively with technology and the business

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of Data Privacy and understating of CPRA – California Privacy Rights Act (helpful but not required)
  • Experience working the Banking or Financial Services
  • Experience with Python
  • Experience working with OneTrust and/or Archer GRC
  • Professional Certifications (CIPP, CIPT, CIPP-US, CDPSE, CISSP, CISA, or related)
